Obituary of Ryan DeVito Ryan Scott DeVito of Fort Lauderdale, Florida passed away suddenly on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at home. He was 27 years old. Ryan was born July 26, 1990 in Denville, NJ. Ryan was a 2009 graduate of Jefferson High School where he excelled on the football field. He was an electrician and a past member of IBEW Local #102. Ryan work also with his father at DeVito Roofing for several years. He resided in Landing and Lake Hopatcong, NJ before moving to Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. two years ago. Ryan enjoyed surfing, weightlifting, snowboarding and boating on Lake Hopatcong but most importantly, Ryan loved spending time with his friends and family. Ryan is survived by his mother, Ellen Geers and her husband, Richard, his father, Scott DeVito and his wife, Lois, his sister, Tracy and his brother, Richard. Additional survivors include his maternal grandmother, Ellen Schmidt, his paternal grandparents, Dan and Gail Maiella and several aunts, uncles, cousins, one niece and many dear friends. Ryan’s Life Celebration will include visitation on Sunday, June 10th from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. There will be a funeral mass on Monday, June 11th at 10:00 am at St. Thomas the Apostle RC Church, 5635 Berkshire Valley Road, Oak Ridge (Jefferson Twp.), NJ 07438 – #973-208-0090. Family and friends are invited to meet directly at the church on Monday morning. To show their appreciation for all of your support, Ryan’s family would like to extend an invitation to everyone who attends the funeral mass to join them at Portofino’s Restaurant (5126 Berkshire Valley Road, Oak Ridge, NJ (Jefferson Twp.) immediately following the mass on Monday morning.
