Roy Allen Copple, age 83 of Ripley, Ohio died Friday, June 1, 2018 at the Ohio Valley Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center near Ripley, Ohio. He was a retired auto mechanic for the former Bruce Sam’s Auto in Bethel, Ohio, former member of the Higginsport Fire Department in Higginsport, Ohio and a United States Army Reserve Veteran. Roy was born September 28, 1934 in Decatur, Ohio the son of the late Delbert and Vivian (Myers) Copple. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife – Mary (Kiskadden) Copple and one son – Mark Copple. Mr. Copple is survived by two sons – Roger Copple, Sr. and wife Ruth of Higginsport, Ohio and Ray Copple and wife Grace of Georgetown, Ohio; five grandchildren – Raegan Copple, Kay Copple and Roger Copple, Jr. all of Higginsport, Ohio and Brody Copple and Neal Copple both of Georgetown, Ohio; four great grandchildren – Weston, Jean, Anna and Dalton; one brother – Jerry Copple of Decatur, Ohio and three sisters. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Shinkles Ridge Cemetery near Georgetown, Ohio.
