Mr. Randall Estes Battles, Sr. age 67, of Trion, GA, died Thursday, May 31, 2018, at Kindred Hospital in Rome, GA. Mr. Battles was born August 24, 1950, in Gadsden, AL, son of the late William Henry and Viola Florence Wester Battles. Prior to his retirement, he was employed with Jarrett Trucking. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Lionel Battles; and sisters, Mildred Sue Battles Dutton and Marilyn Lynn Battles Scott. Mr. Battles is survived by his sons, William Michael “Mike” Battles, Randall Estes “Randy” Battles, Jr., and Charles Timothy “Tim” Battles; a brother, Rev. Bradley Ira Battles; a sister, Lola Mae Prescott; and 6 grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Battles will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, June 3, 2018, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bradley Battles and Rev. David Dutton officiating. Interment will follow in West Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be nephews. Mr. Battles will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service on Sunday.
