Obituary for MILDRED SUE SIMMONS SMITH Mildred Sue Simmons Smith, age 75, of Hueytown, Alabama passed away June 7, 2018. She was a member of West Highlands Baptist Church, and worked for Highlander Foodland. She was preceded in death by her husband Douglas Smith, Sr. and her parents Auburn L. and Mary Ellen LeVert Simmons. She is survived by her children Douglas Smith, Jr., JoEllen Tomberlin, Michael Smith, Dianna Downs (Stephen); brother Ben Simmons; grandchildren Steven Wilkinson, Jordan Goad, Alexa MacBeth Drew Downs, Cooper Downs, and Kinley Downs; numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The visitation will be Friday, June 8, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Peoples Chapel Funeral Home, with Bro. Steve Knox officiating. The funeral service will be at Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 10:00 AM at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Methodist Church Cemetery in Heiberger, Alabama.
