Obituary for Michael Maras Michael Joseph Maras, 75 of Firestone, passed away May 1, 2018 at the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, CO. Michael was born September 2, 1942 in Wisconsin. He proudly served in the United States Marines and worked as a computer programmer and analyst. On July 18, 1978 he married Frankie Hoopengarner in Miami, OK. Michael, also known as “The Colonel”, was a kind man, a loving husband and a great father. He was a member of the Country Gospel Cowboy Church in Johnstown, CO and a Past Exalted Ruler of the North Glenn Elks Lodge. He will be truly missed. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Rebekah Destefano and his sister, Mary Lou Kimel. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Frankie Maras, two granddaughters, Brooklyn Ruth Destefano and Angeline Louis Destefano and his nephew, John Joseph (Rosalie) Wilson. Memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 12 at the Country Gospel Cowboy Church, 25 S. Denver Ave. Johnstown, CO 80534. Original text Contribute a better translation
