Obituary for Mary McManus Parker Mary McManus Parker Mary Parker, 90, of Charlotte, entered Heaven on Tuesday, June 12, 2018. Mary is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Pat Parker. She leaves behind her loving children and their families; Her daughter, Lynda Searcey and her husband, Phil. Her son, Alan Parker and his wife, Jeannie. Grandchildren: Taylor Searcey and wife Kelsey, Chase Searcey and wife Caroline, Alan and Adam Parker. She also has two great – grandsons, Jackson and Samuel and a little brother on the way. Mary attended Kings College and studied accounting. She worked at System Service Inc. for many years. She was a loving wife and mother and known to be at every event in her children and grandchildren’s lives – especially if it was a baseball game. That started with her son and only ended a few weeks ago at her great-grandchildren’s t-ball game. There is no way to count the number of birthday cakes made, babysitting done or meals prepared. For Mary, her family came first but that wasn’t just her blood kin, that was everybody who called her Grannie. Memorials should be made to Hickory Grove Baptist Church, 7200 E.
