Mary Ellen Harman, 81, of Accident, MD, died Thursday, June 7, 2018, at WVU Hospitals, Inc., Morgantown, WV. Born February 4, 1937, in Deer Park, MD, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Alice (George) Holtschneider. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Delbert Holtschneider. Mrs. Harman was an inspector and shipper for Quality Machining and worked as a secretary for Spiker Brothers Construction. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, LCMS, who loved flowers, gardening and enjoyed quilting, needle point, hunting and fishing. She is survived by her husband, Herbert George Harman; one son, Gerald (Brenda) Harman, Accident; two daughters, Cheryl (Jeff) Georg, Accident; Holly (Don) Harshbarger, Severn, MD; five brothers, Earl Holtschneider, Guthrie, OK; Carl Holtschneider, Dale Holtschneider and George Holtschneider, all of Deer Park; Cecil Holtschneider, Accident; eight grandchildren, Santanna (fiancé, Matt) and Gerri Lynn Harman, Taylor (Aida) Glotfelty, Timothy (Michelle) Glotfelty, Christopher (fiancée, Nicole) and Heather Harshbarger; Ashley and Caitlin Anderson; two step-grandchildren, Billy and Brian (Tiffany) Georg; one great-granddaughter, Riley Elise Glotfelty; three step-great-grandchildren, Landon, Cady and Ella Georg. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, MD, on Monday, June 11, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the St. John’s Lutheran Church, LCMS, Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. James Oester officiating. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the St. John’s Cemetery.
