Obituary for Marian Elaine Weaver Marian Elaine (Ball) Weaver, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died Saturday, June 16, 2018 surrounded by her family. Marian, 90, was born November 17, 1927 in Chester Township, to Walter and Keitha (Silver) Ball. On September 3, 1948 Marian married her sweetheart Charles Weaver whom she had known since childhood Sunday school. They would spend the next 67 years creating their legacy together. Marian worked in the banking industry starting as a Bank Teller and working her way up to a Branch Manager. The family were active members at the West Benton United Methodist Church. Marian’s hobbies included art, quilting, ceramics, knitting, sewing, baking and decorating cakes, and traveling around the world. She was very active in the community, serving as a 4-H leader, and as a member of the Eaton Art League and of the Across the Square Quilters. Marian loved spending time with her family at their cottage in Pentwater. Above all Marian loved her family and friends. Marian is survived by her children, Clare Weaver, Claudia (Bob Reichel) Weaver, Lynn (Judy) Weaver, Jeryl (David) Foy, Gayle Fox, and Norman (SuJun) Weaver; grandchildren, Rachelle Priese, Charlotte Weaver, Patrick Reichel, Callie Reichel, Charles Jacob (Stephanie) Weaver, Emily (Herb) Haygood, Jordan (Lauren) Smitter, Forrest Fox, Madison Fox, Damien Weaver and Cain Weaver; and great-grandchildren, Adrianna and Ashleigh Priese, Chloe and Charlie Weaver, Spencer Smitter, Olive Fox, and Miles and Mason Haygood. Marian was predeceased by her husband, Charles; sisters, Barbara Cross and Joan Loughan. Friends are encouraged to support Marian’s family at visitation and memorial services. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Pray Funeral Home in Charlotte with Pastor Dave Egelkraut officiating. Visitation is Tuesday, June 19, 2018 from 6-8:00 p.m. at Pray Funeral Home. The family wishes to give a big thank you to the caregivers at Fairview AFC and Heartland Hospice for their compassionate care.
