Obituary for Kenneth “Ken” Dobson Kenneth J. Dobson, 70, of the Villages passed away, Friday, May 25, 2018. Ken was born in Chicago, Ill, and resided in Wauconda, Ill before moving to The Villages in 2014. He served his tour of duty in the Army during the Vietnam War at Da Nang Air Base. Ken was an avid fresh water fisherman, spending hours on Lake Erie fishing for Walleyes. Ken belonged to Walleyes Unlimited,U.S.A. After moving to The Villages, he fished for trophy bass on the St. Johns River, Lake Griffin and Lake Harris. Ken also enjoyed golf and bowling with family and friends. Ken was a member of the American Legion Post 347 in Lady Lake. Survivors include his wife, Janet; son Ken and granddaughter McKenna; brothers Walter (Carmela) and Don (Missy), sisters Janet Hickey (Michael), Bonnie Piotrowski (Donald) and Joan Hiller (Ron). Father-in-law, George Fluger, brother-in-law Jeffery Fluger, brother-in-law Bruce Fluger A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 13, at 11:00AM followed by a funeral service at 12:00 at the Beyers Funeral Home 134 North Highway 27/441 Lady Lake, FL. Burial will follow with full American Legion military honors in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida. A memorial dinner will served at the American Legion Post No. 347 in Lady Lake at 4:45PM. Arrangements entrusted to Beyers Funeral Home and Crematory, Lady Lake, FL.
