Obituary of K. P. Floyd K. P. Floyd, age 92 of Gallatin, passed away May 31, 2018. Memorial Service will be Sunday, June 3rd at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alexander Family Heritage Funeral Home (100 Albert Gallatin Avenue), with Rev. John Penfield officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, June 3rd from 2:00 p.m. until time of service at 6:00 p.m. Mr. Floyd was born November 29, 1925 in Le Flore County, OK to the late K. P. Floyd, Sr. and Bessie Morrison Floyd. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife, Lois Irene Vise Floyd; brothers, Sherman Floyd and Raymond Floyd; and sisters, Earline Sallis and Beatrice Blankenship. He is survived by daughter, Kay Gillespie (Larry) of Gallatin; sons, Mark Floyd (Annette) of Gallatin, Neil Floyd (Donna) of Gallatin, and Bill Floyd (Debbie) of Gallatin; brother, Curt Floyd of Dallas, TX; sister-in-law, Linda Floyd of Poteau, OK; 8 grandchildren, John David Blair (Greta), Julie Blair, Joe Neil Floyd, Jr. (Morgan), David Floyd (Marcia), Chris Floyd (Jennifer), Jason Floyd (Brittany), Shelly Barber (Rusty), and Brad Floyd; and 13 great grandchildren. Mr. Floyd served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a member of Gallatin First Baptist Church for over 60 years. He worked for Amerigas for 27 years, and retired from TVA as a pipefitter supervisor after 13 years of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Gallatin, Starting Strong Program, P. O. Box 369, Gallatin, TN 37066. Online condolences may be submitted at alexanderheritagefh.com.
