Obituary for John Jay Powell John Jay Powell, Sr. Powell, John Jay of Creve Coeur, Missouri was born August 22, 1932, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Harry and Ellnarose (nee Behrens) Powell, and entered into rest, Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at Dolan Memory Care in Creve Coeur, Missouri, at the age of 85 years, 9 months and 15 days. He is preceded in death by his parents. spouse Carol Powell, daughter Renee Powell and brother Tom Powell He is survived by, three (3) children, John Powell, Jr., Jeff (Konnie) Powell, five (5) grandchildren, Harrison Powell, Kaitlin Powell, Heather Smallwood, Jessica Powell and Emily Smallwood, other family and friends. John loved going to Webster Presbyterian Church where he was very strong in his faith. He worked as a Logistic manager for Monsanto. John enjoyed golfing, gardening, reading, an animal lover who enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 14, 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Webster Presbyterian Church, 45 W Lockwood Ave, St. Louis, Missouri. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 9370 Olive Blvd, St. Louis, Mo 63132-3253.
