James Wilkinson, age 70, of New Haven, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Ft. Wayne, Indiana. James was born September 10, 1947 in Auburn, Indiana the son of the late Dr. James Herbert and Dorotha “Dottie” (Krinn) Wilkinson. He married Maria “Celia” Wilkinson on March 17, 1991, and she preceded him in death on November 17, 2017. James was a DJ for more than 30 years working in various states, including for stations WOWO and WBTU. He also worked in sales during his later years. His radio personality name was Jim Bailey and his radio show was the Carson & Bailey Show in Bilox, Mississippi and Elkhart, Indiana. James loved to golf and was an avid coin collector. He was very involved in his Texas church. He is survived by two daughters, Tami (Jerry) Smith and Ami (Jason) Cook, both of New Haven; step-daughter, Velma (Bill) Luna-Burchfield of Texas; step-son, Gabe Luna of Texas; 6 grandchildren, Alexis Muhlenkamp, Dillon Easton, Dustin Easton, Brad Berghoff, Jacob Easton and Andrea Berghoff; and 5 great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Linda Madansky. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Estates of Serenity, Marion, Indiana. Arrangements have been entrusted to Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana. Online condolences may be made at www.ravenchoate.com
