James M Eakman Jr May 9 1932 June 1 2018 (age 86)

James M. Eakman, Jr., 86, passed away on June 1, 2018. Formerly of Mount Joy, he was currently a resident of the Masonic Villages. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth Kreiser Eakman who died on Feb. 23, 2018, with whom he celebrated 66 years of marriage this past December 19th. Jim will be missed by his son Dean Eakman, husband of Gail of Manheim, and three grandsons, Brent Eakman, husband of Michelle of Manheim, Jeremy Eakman, husband of Lindsey of Elizabethtown, and Brandon Eakman of York. He will also be missed by his four great-grandchildren Mason, Bryce, Riley, and Cameron Eakman. Also surviving is his sister Elizabeth J. Mrazik of Pittsburgh. After graduating from the East Donegal High School in 1950, he proudly enlisted with the US Navy and later enlisted in the US Marine Corps, serving his country in Korea. Upon his return, to the US, he was employed by Binkley and Ober of East Petersburg as a foreman and mechanic. Jim and his late wife Elizabeth enjoyed camping and spending time with family. Services will be private at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Masonic Children’s Home, 1 Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
