Graham Randy Randal Howell 2018

Chief Warrant Officer (W4) Graham “Randy” Randall Howell, US Army, retired, lifetime resident of Tampa, passed away on June 17, 2018. Randy and the Howell family have called Lake Carroll home since the 1950’s and anyone who met Randy knew immediately that “The Lake Place” and family home next to the White Sands Beach was a little piece of heaven that he cherished sharing with others. Randy proudly served his country as a helicopter pilot in the United States Army until he retired in 2005. He was stationed in Korea during Vietnam and had 35+ years combined service in the U.S. Army and Florida Army National Guard. He also worked for IBM in Tampa from 1967 through 1994. For the past 13 years, Randy taught FL concealed carry permit classes throughout the Bay area as a National Rifle Association Certified Pistol Instructor, teaching over 2400 students. Randy could also be found selling gun safes at local gun shows and the Florida State Fair. Randy hunted quail and dove, and loved fishing for bass and speckled perch in the lake. Everyone who encountered Randy knows he never met a stranger, had a strong and unwavering faith in God and lived his life as a proud and dedicated patriot who loved only his family more than his country. Randy is survived by his wife Wendy, sons Heath (wife Melody) and Eric (wife Jessica), daughter Gwen Howell Benton, and granddaughters Haley and Tayla, all of Tampa. A memorial service will be held at 10am, Saturday, June 23, 2018, at the Howell’s home.
