Obituary for George Glahn Jr. George Brewster Glahn, Jr., 74, of Webster, FL, passed away Monday, May 21, 2018, at James A. Haley V.A. Hospital in Tampa, FL. He was born and grew up in Syracuse, NY and graduated from North High School in 1961, then attended college in KY. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Yorktown and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He moved to Florida in 2003 and enjoyed riding motorcycles, working with farm animals and rescuing animals. He is survived by his companion, LaRone Marshman of Webster, FL; sister: Nancy Lee Hall of Covington, TN; brothers: Larry Joe Shick and William Robert Shick, both of Syracuse, NY. He was preceded in death by his father, George B. Glahn, Sr. in 1951, parents: William and Leah Shick; and brother, Gary Shick. Visitation and Service A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2018 from 1:30 to 2:00 at Purcell Chapel, then graveside service will be held at Florida National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. with military honors provided by U.
