Eunice Faye Edwards Gilmore, age 76, of Lillington, NC, passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at her home. She was born in Harnett County on June 30, 1941 to the late Jessie James Edwards and Allie McNeill Edwards. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Wayne Gilmore, Sr. and two brothers, Gerald Edwards and Jessie Ray Edwards. She was a retired registered nurse and worked for many years at both Fayetteville VA Hospital and Central Carolina Hospital. While at Central Carolina Hospital, Eunice worked as an emergency room supervisor. Eunice was a longtime member of Holly Springs Baptist Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed cross stitching and raising poodles – she loved her poodles. She is survived by her son, Roy Wayne Gilmore, Jr. and fiancé, Tammy; one sister, Shirley Wilson Thomas and cousin, Nell Blakley of Sanford. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 11, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the multi-purpose room at Holly Springs Baptist Church. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Holly Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Yow and Rev. Jerry Parsons officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
