Obituary of Elizabeth DiMattia DiMattia, Elizabeth “Betty” Florence, age 94 of Margate, passed away in her home on Friday, May 25, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Betty lived in Philadelphia and the neighboring suburbs until retiring to the Jersey Shore in 1984. Betty was treasured in her role as mother and wife creating a loving home for her husband and children. Betty was an extraordinary cook who loved entertaining her family and friends and was skilled and talented at many hand crafts and could solve any problem. Our “energizer bunny” enjoyed playing cards with her dear friends almost daily and a frequent trip to a Casino. She will be missed beyond words by her family, friends and fabulous neighbors. She was a member of The Altar and Rosary Society of The Blessed Sacrament Church, A Gold Star Wife, A Red Hat Member, a founding member of The Sons of Italy – Vicin’ al Mare Lodge 2601. Survivors include Children, Charles T. (Barbara) DiMattia, Linda D. Thompson, Dr. Ralph R. DiMattia, MD (Marcia); Grandchildren, Bryan A. (Karyn) DiMattia, Tamara B. (Shane) Pelletier, Scott L. (Melissa) Newhall, Alissa E. Thompson, Robert M. Thompson, David R. DiMattia, Georgina M. (Matthew) Montgomery, Elizabeth M. (Alex) Zannechia; twelve Great Grandchildren; Great Niece and Nephew: Melissa A. (Marc) Ganzi and her children Riley and Grant. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Alfred S DiMattia; Parents, Frank and Mary (DePaul) Grazioso; Brothers, Charles, Joseph, Albert Grazioso, Joseph DePaul; sisters, Helen Grazioso, Julie Lagomarsino, Rita Campo Battaglia; Nephews, Dr. Randy and Ricky Campo, Joseph Grazioso and Charles Grazioso.
