Bruce Joseph Honermann 2018

Bruce Joseph Honermann, age 61, passed away in Eugene on Sunday, June 3, 2018. He was born September 20, 1956 in Adrian, Minnesota to Vincent and Clara Honermann. He graduated from Denair High School in Denair, California. Bruce worked for many years in the poultry industry and lumber mills. Later in life he attended Mount Hood Community College graduating with an associate’s degree in Fisheries. He went to work for the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife and loved his work in Oregon’s fish hatcheries. Bruce was an avid fisherman, especially loving to go after steelhead. One of his fondest memories was a fishing trip in Brazil with his nephew and brother in law. Bruce also loved to hunt for deer and elk. His latest passion was gold panning. Bruce was a man with a warm heart, twinkle in his eyes, and a sharp wit. His presence enriched the lives of all he came in contact with. He will be sorely missed. Bruce is survived by his brother Dale and sister in law Jana of Colorado and sister Diane and brother in law Randy of Salem. He has many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Bruce was everyone’s “Uncle Bruce”. Family would like to invite friends to a Celebration of Life on Saturday July 7, 2018 at the Leaburg Fish Hatchery, 90700 Fish Hatchery Road, Leaburg from 12:00 to 3:00.
