Bernice, 90, of Charlotte passed peacefully on May 29, 2018. She was born on February 13, 1928 in Scranton, PA, the daughter of Nettye and Ben Bruck. Bernice and her husband, Buddy, to whom she was married for 68 years, moved to Charlotte in 1951. Her sister Marilyn and brother in law Harry Swimmer, followed them to Charlotte in 1953. Always elegantly dressed, she was the picture of style and grace. Her kindness, gentle laugh, and bright-faced smile are what will be remembered and missed. Bernice is survived by her daughters Ellen Roberts (Michael Fisher), Carol Shafranek, and son Stewart (Julie) Roberts, 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her beloved sister and brother in law, Marilyn and Harry Swimmer, her sister in law, Claire Dubin, as well as a large extended family in the Charlotte area. A service will be held for family and friends in the Chapel at the Hebrew Cemetery, 1801 Statesville Ave, Charlotte, N.C. on June 3, 2018 at 1:00 p.m.
