Marvin M. Brunson, 75, of Norway, died Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Agape Hospice House in Columbia. Born on August 1, 1942 in Orangeburg County, he was a son of the late John M. and Dollie Myers Brunson. Mr. Brunson was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Cope, SC. He was an extremely hard worker and spent much of his time welding at the sawmill. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. Mr. Brunson was a good father and grandfather… Read More » and is survived by his sons; Randy Brunson and Chad Brunson both of Norway and Don Brunson (Martha) of Swansea; step-sons, David Osborne and James Osborne of PA; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Murphy (Meril) of Orangeburg and Betty Marchant of Rosenville; and sister-in-law, Ruby Jane Brunson of Norway. He was predeceased by his wife, Betty Jean Morris Brunson; a step-son, Kenny Osborne; siblings, Dock Brunson and Mildred McCormick; and a brother-in-law, Jim Marchant. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the Whitaker Funeral Home Chapel in Newberry by the Rev. Jerry Trantham. Burial will follow in Colony Lutheran Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dillon Brunson, Tanner Brunson, Randy Brunson, Jr., Don Brunson, Jr., Jared Brunson, and Eric Lubkin.
