Obituary for Caroline J Waddilove Caroline J. Waddilove, 57, of Stone Mountain, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2018, following a courageous battle with metastatic breast cancer at DeKalb Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Caroline was born January 30, 1961, to the late Major and Mary (born Wallace) Roberts as the eighth of eleven children. Caroline was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and nurse who truly enjoyed her work, family, and friends. She was a strong, beautiful, intelligent woman who was a guiding light to many of the young people in her children’s circle of friends in Woodfield Park. Caroline and Joe were members of Daniel Circle Chapel in Fort Jackson, South Carolina. Caroline graduated from Dreher High School in Columbia. She earned her nursing degree from Midlands Technical College. She had an extensive career as a Registered Nurse at Palmetto Health, International Medical Center, and ended her career at DeKalb Medical Center. She inspired everyone by her sharing and caring. Carolina will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents, Caroline was preceded in death by a sister Barbara Thomas. Left to cherish Caroline’s memory are husband of 25 years Garland “Joe” Waddilove; her four children: Michael (Dominique) Washington, Brittany Washington, Angel (Cory) Vannatta, Jerry (Jenny) Waddilove; and seven grandchildren: Nicholas Vannatta, Megan Vannatta, Ava Waddilove, Landon Waddilove, Michael “Mikey” Washington, Naomi Washington, and Simmone Washington; nine siblings: Mary (Gary) Rougeau, Major Roberts, Ricky Roberts, Tony Roberts, Bernard (Barbara) Roberts, Linda Roberts, Vera Roberts, Lamont Roberts, and Melissa Roberts; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
