Shirley L Taylor 2018

Shirley L. Taylor, of Dauphin, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at the Harrisburg Hospital. She was born on May 2, 1936, to the late Catherine and Andrew Ehringer. Shirley is survived by her husband of 44 years, Ronald E. Taylor, six children, Rick Wire & wife Jane of Carlisle, Peach Wire Michael and husband Rick of Millersburg, Deb Wire of Millersburg, Andy Wire and wife Joyce of Ephrata, Scott Taylor and wife Tracy of Dauphin, and Shane Taylor and wife Kathie of Halifax. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and sister Patricia Naill of Dauphin. Shirley was a member of the William Penn High School, Harrisburg class of 1954. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Dauphin. She was a retired contractor with the Capital Area Intermediate Unit. She was past President of the Dauphin Athletic Association and in 1965 with the help of Theo Pae of Dauphin, started the first boy’s baseball team. She loved spending time with her family and quiet afternoons on the back porch with her husband and neighbors. A viewing will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2018, from 3:00 PM till 4:30 PM, with a funeral service at 4:30 PM at the Jesse H. Geigle Funeral Home, 2100 Linglestown Rd. Harrisburg PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Shirley’s memory to Zion Lutheran Church, 318 Erie St., Dauphin, PA 17018.
