Frederick D Fisher 2018

Frederick D. Fisher, 85, of Forks Township, formerly of Palmer Township, passed away Saturday, May 19, 2018 at his home. Born April 8, 1933 in Bloomsbury, NJ, he was the son of the late Frederick P. and Dorothy (Roseberry) Fisher. He and his wife, Joan M. (Cyphers) Fisher, celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on July 18, 2017. Fred retired from the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 542 where he was employed as a crane operator for 36 years. He was 1952 graduate of Wilson High School. Fred enjoyed tinkering with mechanical things and loved camping with his motorhome. Surviving in addition to his wife Joan are a son, Donald F. Fisher and his wife Anita, of Washburn, ME; a daughter, Diane M. Brotzman and her husband Roger, of Palmer Township; three sisters, Margaret Laxson, of Santa Cruz, CA, Jennie Fitzpatrick, of Forks Township, and Shirley Voletto, of Palmer Township; three grandchildren, Molly Stahley and her husband Michael, Abbey Brotzman and John Crilley and his wife Amy; and five great-grandchildren, Ariana Stahley, Andrea, Emerson, Reillie and Tyler Crilley. He was predeceased by granddaughters, Rebecca and Heidi Brotzman. Services will be held at 10:30am Wednesday in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 2101 Northampton St., Wilson Borough. Call Wednesday 9:30-10:30am in the funeral home. Burial will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine. Offer online condolences at www.strunkfh.com. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cornerstone Evangelical Free Church, 411 March St., Easton, PA 18042.
