Obituary for Jimmy Gothard Lone Grove – Funeral Services for Mr. Jimmy Henry Gothard, 75, of Lone Grove is scheduled for 11:00 am Friday, May 25, 2018 at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel of Wilson with Matt Benedick, hospice chaplain and family officiating. Interment will follow at the Lone Grove Cemetery. Jimmy was born on March 15, 1943 at Bakersfield, CA to the late Mr. Edward Jack Gothard and Mrs. Kawanna Lee (Tynes) Gothard. He departed this life on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at his home in Ardmore. Jimmy was raised in Lone Grove graduating from Lone Grove High School in 1961. He worked within the home improvement industry most of his working years as a carpenter and painter for many years. He also had been employed for Cook Paint of Ardmore. Jimmy loved to garden and collect coins. He also enjoyed camping and tinkering with lawnmowers and bikes. Jimmy was always of the baptist faith attending several baptist churches within the community of Lone Grove. Preceding him in death are his Parents; brothers, Darvin and Harold “Pete” Gothard; brother in law, C.W. Mangrum and a sister in law, Barbara Gothard. Survivors include his daughters, Sue Tice of Ardmore, Deanna Conway and husband Paul of Edmond and Penny Tibbs and husband Creede of Dickson; brothers Eddie Gothard and wife Donna of Lone Grove, Bobby Gothard of Oklahoma City and Benny Gothard and wife Gloria of Lone Grove; sisters, Faye Mangrum of Durant and Kaye Herrod and husband James of Shawnee; 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews and other family. Casket bearers will be Cade Tibbs, Bryce Tibbs, Jason Conway, Creede Tibbs, Paul Conway and Levi Callis. Honorary bearers are Gerald Norton, Michael Tate, Eddie Gothard, Benny Gothard, Bobby Gothard and the Lone Grove High School Class of 1961. A special thanks to Cross Timbers Hospice for their kindfelt care and support.
