Life Story for James O’Connell James R. O’Connell, 70, of Warren passed on Thursday, 12, 2018 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren. He was born on March 28, 1948 in Jamestown, New York, the son of William and Josephine Marucci O’Connell. He was a graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School. On March 17, 1973, James married Bonnie McKnight and the couple had just celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary. He had been employed by General Motors for 36 years, starting in the Van Plant in 1968. For the past 9 years, James had been a school bus driver for the LaBrae Schools. He loved interacting with all the kids and driving the teams to their sporting events. James will be remembered for his funny sense of humor. He could talk to anyone, anywhere, about anything. He loved watching his granddaughter, Emily play softball and going to his grandson, Kyle’s dirt bike races. He enjoyed traveling with his family, camping trips out west and cruises with Bonnie to Italy and Ireland. Treasured memories of James will be carried on by his loving wife, Bonnie; his son and daughter-in-law, Shawn and Susan O’Connell and grandchildren, Emily and Kyle.
