Obituary of Mary Holt Mary Holt, 96, of Melbourne, FL, previously of Red Hook, NY, passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at the Viera Hospital in Melbourne, FL. Born on October 20, 1921, in White Plains, NY, Mary was the daughter to the late John and Mary (Coombs) Curtin. Mary married Arthur C. Holt in 1938 in Red Hook and Arthur predeceased her on April 27, 1976. Mary spent her career as a Nurse at the Hudson River Psychiatric Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. Mary was a former member of the United Methodist Church of Red Hook, the Red Hook – Rhinebeck ELKS Lodge, and the Order of the Eastern Star during her time in Florida. Mary is survived by her three children and their spouses, John E. & Gretta Holt of Port St. John, FL, Arthur Brian & Vicky Holt of Red Hook, NY, and Lorraine & Donald Storrs of Barefoot Bay, FL; her sister, Beatrice L. Turey of Vero Beach , FL; her grandchildren, Shane Holt, Karen Szatko, John “Jack” Szatko, Dominic “Nic” Szatko; and her great grandson Dominic “Anthony” Szatko; along with numerous extended family and friends. Friends may call at the Burnett & White Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 8th, 2018 from 5 to 7 pm. A graveside service and burial will take place at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Red Hook on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at 11 am.
