Melissa J Kuchtyak 2018

Melissa J. Kuchtyak, 55, of Hamilton, passed away on Monday, May 28, 2018, at Compassionate Care Hospice at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton. Born in Perth Amboy, NJ, Melissa worked for PMA Insurance for the last 33 years. Her happiest times were spent supporting and being active with Hamilton High West and Steinert High School’s marching units. Melissa was a kind soul and always enjoyed helping people. Predeceased by her parents, Alexander and Lorraine (Martin) Szilagyi; her husband, Andrew Kuchtyak; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Andrew and Mary Kuchtyak; she is survived by her daughters, Victoria and Brittany Kuchtyak; her twin sister, Nancy Schmaus and her husband, Louis; her brother, David Szilagyi and his wife, Katherine; her sisters-in-law, Andrea Mullen and husband, Edward, Arleen Tyndorf and husband, Tadeusz, and Audrey Kuchtyak; her nephew, Alexander Schmaus and his girlfriend, Casey Coleman; her niece, Abigail Schmaus; and many additional nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and dear friends. Memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018, from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Grafton House, 110 Edgebrook Road, Hamilton, NJ 08691. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Melissa’s memory to American Cancer Society by visiting In Memory Of at www.inmemoryof-memorial.org.
