Obituary for James S. Rochonchou James S. Rochonchou, 96, of Hamilton passed away Saturday, May 19th, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Carthage, NY, he was a longtime Hamilton resident. He was a C.P.A. spending his entire career of more than 40 years with Coopers and Lybrand, presently PricewaterhouseCoopers, in both Newark and Princeton, N. J. Mr. Rochonchou graduated Magna Cum Laude from Rider College – Class of 1948, where he was listed Who’s Who among students in American Universities and Colleges. As an Army veteran of WWII, he received, and was awarded the distinguished Purple Heart medal. As an active member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church, he served as a board member and also served on the Building Committee for many years. Additionally, he was the grandson of the first Greek Orthodox Priest to serve the Trenton community. Son of the late Simeon and Avril Rochonchou, brother of the late Georgia Fokides, Margaret Theodoris, and Artemis Vrettos. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Catina; his daughter and son-in-law, Marianne and Richard Se’Mon, two sons and daughters-in-law, Simeon and Nancy Rochonchou, and Michael and Roberta Rochonchou; 7 grandchildren, Ricky and Matthew Se’Mon, Stephanie and her husband Brandon Nagle, James Rochonchou, Ashley and husband Mark Meseroll, Jacqueline and Michael Rochonchou, Jr.; a great granddaughter, Savannah Nagle, brother and sister-in-law, William and Celia Coutouzis, and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 24th from 9 – 11am at the St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 1200 Klockner Road, Hamilton. Funeral Service will begin at 11am followed by the entombment in Greenwood Cemetery with military honors. Arrangements under the direction of the Murphy Funeral Home, 1863 Hamilton Ave., Hamilton.Memorial contributions may be made in his honor to St. George Greek Orthodox Church.
