E June Shindle 2018

Miss E. June Shindle, 93, of Waynesboro, PA, passed Wednesday, May 16, 2018, in Quincy Village. Born October 18, 1924 in Waynesboro, PA she was the daughter of the late Motte Franklin and Katherine (Brumbaugh) Shindle. She was a graduate of Waynesboro High School with the Class of 1942. Miss Shindle was employed as a clerk in the engineering department at Landis Tool Company, Waynesboro for over 40 years. She was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church, Waynesboro, where she was a Sunday School teacher in the junior department for many years and was a member of the sewing belles. She was also a member of Martha Custis Chapter 342 Order of the Eastern Star, Chambersburg, PA, and the Waynesboro Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed knitting, reading, and embroidering. She is survived by her sister, Phyllis M. Shindle, of Waynesboro; sister-in-law, Grace S. Shindle of Texas; a niece Katherine S. Barnard and her husband Brooks of Texas; and a great-nephew, Benjamin S. Barnard of Texas. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother, Robert Franklin Shindle. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, June 4, 2018 in Evangelical Lutheran Church, 43 s. Church Street, Waynesboro with Pastor Dennis Beaver and Pastor Drahus Oslik officiaiting. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Evangelical Lutheran Church, 43 S. Church Street, Waynesboro, PA 17268.
