Obituary for Donald Joseph Bachtold Beloved Father & Grandpa Proud Navy Veteran Age 89, of West St. Paul. Passed away peacefully of natural causes at the VA Medical Center in Minneapolis on May 26, 2018 surrounded by his four children. He was born May 3, 1929 at home in the then, Village of Grand Meadow Minnesota. He enlisted in the U.S Navy in 1950 and proudly served for four years before his honorable discharge. He is preceded in death by his wife Alice and sisters Jeanette Drews and Jeanne Keller. He is survived by his four children: Debra Ivons (Tom), Joni Hood (Jim), Joe Bachtold (Gwen), and Donna Bachtold; his brother Bernie Bachtold (Sharon), seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
