Obituary for Benjamin Urbanek Benjamin A. Urbanek, age 88, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 5:58 A.M. Sunday, May 27, 2018 at Lucy Smith King Care Center under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice. Benjamin was born in Kansas and in 1969 moved to Henderson to join the electric company, Big Rivers. He was the General Manager of Energy Control before retiring. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving our country during the Korean Conflict. Benjamin was of the Catholic faith, member of the American Legion Worsham Post #40 and the Elks. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 1 sister. Survivors include: His wife of 62 years: Wanda Urbanek Henderson, KY 3 Daughters: Kim Fink Spencer County, IN Kayla Ballard Evansville, IN Kristi West Henderson, KY 1 Sister: Phyllis Ogburn Lawrence, Kansas 1 Brother: Delbert Urbanek Topeka, Kansas 5 Grandchildren 2 Great Grandchildren Nieces and Nephews There will be no visitation or funeral services per Benjamin’s request.
