Shirley Mae Foote was born August 9, 1925 to James Hershall and Florence Viola (Dorman) Fulton in Webster County, Iowa. She grew up an only child and she went to school in Fort Dodge, where she graduated High School. There in school she met the love of her life, Charles “Chuck” Foote, at the age of 15. They remained at each other’s side until his death in 2012. To this union they had two children, Ron and Susan. In the 1970’s Shirley and Chuck moved to Lakewood, and remained in Norwalk ever since. She was an active member of the Norwalk United Methodist Church, the Order of the Eastern Star, and Activity Director at Regency Care Center in Norwalk. Shirley was always a kind and welcoming person. She was social, hosting coffee and chat session in her home. Shirley Mae Foote, age 92, of Norwalk passed away at Regency Care Center on Tuesday April 3, 2018. Shirley is preceded in death by her husband Chuck and her daughter Susan Adkins. Shirley is survived by her son Ron Foote, her granddaughters Jennifer Berger and Michelle (Brian) Bialas; and her great grandchildren Cole, Tanon, Elliot, Cohen, and Esher.
