Obituary of Katherine Huston Katherine Louise Huston, 87, Marion, went to be with the Lord in her home at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 6, 2018. A lifelong resident of Marion, she was born to the late Harvey and Bertha (Fisher) Koons. On October 24, 1964, Katherine married Larry Wayne Huston, and he survives. Katherine worked at Kresge Dime Store where she was a sales person. She was a member of both the Ladies Auxiliary at Marion General Hospital and Sunnycrest United Methodist Church. Katherine loved to bake, do crafts, crochet, and help at church. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Larry; daughter, Ronda Huston, Marion; son, Ronald (Noel) Huston, LaFontaine; grandchildren, Heather (Brandon Blades) Huston, Marion, Collin (Alyssa) Huston, Columbus, and Casey (Jessi Cox) Huston, LaFontaine; and great-granddaughter, Ella Huston. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Don Koons. The family will receive visitors from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN. Services to celebrate Katherine’s life will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at the funeral home with Pastor Mark Helm officiating. Additional visitation will take place from 9 to 10 a.m. prior to the service. Following the service, burial will be at Grant Memorial Park.
