Victoria Lillian Lagges, nee Pappas, age 77; beloved wife of James Lagges; loving mother of Lynn (Joel) Kaslewicz and James Jr. (Tina); cherished grandmother of Jake, Luke, Ella, Maia, Matthew, Nicholas, and Alex; dear sister of Angeline Pike, Frieda (William) Alli, and the late Sam Pappas, Helen Bosbonis, and George Pappas; fond aunt, cousin and friend to many. Among these were her love of travel having visited… Read More » more than 65 countries, music, art, literature and dancing. Additionally, she was interested in history, hunted antiques with zest, and was a student of architecture. Last, but very significantly, she spent a great portion of her life maintaining and upgrading her 130 year old home which was near and dear to her heart. Equally, she was heavily involved in preserving the rustic nature of the Fullersburg area where she lived. Beyond these attributes, Victoria held a Master’s degree in Mass Communications from Wayne State University in Detroit, was an Instructor at the College of DuPage, and a Consultant to AT&T. Her various talents were exemplified by the fact that she spoke three languages, created Music Live, had her own television talk show while in her 20’s and was Fashion Director to the Patricia Stevens Modeling Agency. Above all, and most importantly, she loved her children, Lynn and Jim, Jr., doted on her seven grandchildren Jake, Matt, Luke, Nick, Ella, Maia, and Alex and thrived on traveling the world with the love of her life, her loving husband, Jim.
