Peggy E. Murphy, 62, of Canton passed away on Monday, May 7, 2018 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born May 17, 1955. Peggy was preceded in death by her father, Larry G. Murphy (St. David); mother, Barbara E. Murphy; step-mother, Edna F. Murphy; sister, Cindy S. Murphy and brother, Douglas E. Murphy. She is survived by two brothers, Harry (Tammy) Murphy of Glasford, Harold (Linda) Mayall Jr., of Anniston, AL; three sisters, Bonnie (John) Zukowski of Canton, Lisa (Craig) Bump… Read More » of Canton, Christine (Gary) Pasley of Canton and her many nieces and nephews. Peggy graduated from Lewistown Community High School and attended Capital Area School of Practical Nursing, where she received her degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was a member of the Lewistown Church of the Nazarene. Peggy was a very loving and caring person whom would do anything for anyone, no matter if they were family, friend or even someone she had just met, if they needed help, she would help them. She was loved by many and will be missed dearly. Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the Lewistown Church of the Nazarene 13192 US 24 Lewistown, IL starting at 10 a.m. with lunch being served at 11 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Lewistown Church of the Nazarene in her name.
