Jeffrey A. Breyne, 60, of Seneca, formerly of Wenona, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2018 surrounded by his family in Morris Hospital. Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00 AM Thursday in St. Mary’s Church in Wenona with the Franciscan Friars officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-7:00 PM in the Hurst Funeral Home in Wenona. Additional visitation will be in the church on Thursday from 9:30 AM until time of services. Jeff was born in Spring Valley on July 28, 1957 to Leonard and Anita (Gualandi) Breyne. He married Debra Thibodeaux on September 24, 1988. Jeff worked for Union Ironworkers Local #393 and then TyJax Ironworks. He enjoyed the outdoors, working in his yard, and gardening. Jeff treasured his time spent with his two grandsons. Jeff is survived by his wife Debra of Seneca; mother Anita Breyne of Rutland; four children Jessica (Barry) Stech of Minonk, Zachary, Monica, and Leah Breyne all of Seneca; two grandsons Ryan and Elliott Stech; two brothers Mike (Nancy) Breyne of Wenona and Leo (Juanita) Breyne of Rutland; one sister Michelle Berg of Mendota; nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Leonard and one son Jacob.
