Gary L. Jackson, age 61, of Geneva, passed away Friday, April 27, 2018 at his home. He was born June 10, 1956 in St. Ignace, Michigan, the son of Fred and Margaret (Litzner) Jackson. Gary proudly served his country in the United States Army. He received his Bachelors’ degree from Lake Superior State University in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan and his Master’s from Illinois Institute of Technology. He worked for 36 years as an Electrical Engineer for the former AT&T, Lucent, and Nokia Companies. Gary was a former Scout Master for Troop 36 and always enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed. He is survived by his wife of thirty years Kathryn (Apps); two sons David of Maryland and Nicholas of Iowa; four siblings Robert (Yvonne) Lindley of Michigan, Alan (late Nancy) Lindley of Virginia, Brenda (Lloyd) Goodno and James (Linda) Jackson both of Michigan; also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held Friday, May 4, 2018 from 4:00 pm until the time of his memorial service at 7:30 pm at the Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38) Geneva. Interment will be held privately in Michigan. Memorials may be made to the Boy Scouts of America, Three Fires Council, 415 N. 2nd Street, St. Charles, Illinois 60174.
