Donald C. Hemm, 79, of Moline, passed away on Friday, May 25, 2018 at Generations, Rock Island. Services for Mr. Hemm will be 10 am, Wednesday at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan, casual attire is requested. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 7pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island, where military honors will be conducted. Memorials may be made to the family. Donald was born on January 9, 1939 in Moline, a son of Claude and Verna Decker Hemm. He married Lois McMeekan on July 30, 1960 in Aledo. Mr. Hemm worked as a journeyman painter at International Harvester, East Moline for 36 years, retiring in 1994. Don was a member of UAW, East Moline. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, westerns, woodworking and collecting antique gas engines. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Lois; daughters, Ronda Smith, Moline, Angela (Ron) Wuestenberg, Milan; grandson, Donnie (Jesi) Litwiler, Orion; great grandchildren, Kylie and Korbin. Donald was preceded in death by his parents; son, Ricky Hemm; sisters, Delores Weekly, Ruth Buckallew; brothers, David Hemm and Mike Hemm.
