Mr. Steve Stevens, age 65, of Winder passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018. He was born on May 6, 1953 in Des Moines, Iowa to Charles and Irene Stevens who have preceded him in death. Mr. Stevens worked for John Deere for 15 years before owning and operating Southeast Clock, Watch and Jewelry Repair in Decatur. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, riding his motorcycle and was a professional “Tinkerer”. Mr. Stevens was preceded in death by his brothers Pete Stevens and Bill Stevens and a brother-in-law Kenny Cortum. He is survived by his children Nickie Lott of Conyers, Pate and Crystal Stevens of Lilburn, James Stevens of Social Circle, Brandon and Charla Loyd of Augusta and Caleb Burke of Woodstock his grandchildren Chase, Bryce, Emma, Carter, Ely, and Alyssa his sisters Sue Mount, Judy Hilsenbeck, Ruth Anderson, and Garnet Wood all of Iowa and a host of other family and close friends. A gathering of friends will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, May 31, 2018 with a time of reflection at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org or 250 Williams Street, NW, Atlanta, GA 30303. J.C.
