Mr. Robert Charles “Sunbeam” Strowbridge, 70, of Swainsboro passed away Friday, May 4, 2018 at Augusta University Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Strowbridge was born April 13, 1948 in Swainsboro, Ga. to the late Charles Lucious Strowbridge and Rubie Lee Gardner Strowbridge. He was preceded in death by his parents; Mr. Strowbridge was a lifelong residence of Swainsboro and worked as a brick mason. He was a member of Greater St. James Baptist Church. Survivors include his daughter, Robbin Strowbridge of Augusta; step daughters, Barbara Estes, Wynnie Phillips, and Sheryl Reid all of Augusta; son, Robert Phillips of Swainsboro; sisters, Marie Jordan of Swainsboro, Francis Bell of Dublin, Dorothy Hughes of Greenville, Miss., and Linese Williams of Swainsboro; granddaughter, Peyton Walker; grandsons, Da’rius Phillips, Ryan Phillips, Jayden Knight, and Jordan Knight; several nieces, nephews, and friends. Memorial Service will be in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 10, 2018 with Rev. Melvin Adams, Jr. and Deacon John E. Parker officiating.
