Obituary for Gary Blair Gary Clifton Blair, 81, of Macon passed away peacefully at his residence Tuesday, May 22, 2018. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Houston Heights Baptist Church. Pastors Larry Partain and William Black will officiate. The family will have a time of visitation with viewing Friday, May 25, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Gary was born August 21, 1936 in Eatonton, Georgia to the late Paul and Philabel Blair. He proudly served our country in the United States Army, the Korean Conflict. Gary was honorably discharged in 1956 and later he began his life long career at Robins Air Force base as a Machinist. In 1962, Gary married the love of his life Betty M. McCannon and together they built a loving home where they raised two children. After retirement from Civil Service, he worked for Sizemore Security. Like the true patriot he was, Gary held Lifetime Memberships at Disabled American Veterans and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Gary had a love for his church, Houston Heights Baptist Church, where he was a deacon. Left to cherish his memory and carry on his legacy is his loving wife, Betty Blair. Two children: Vikki Brown (Robert) and R. Clifton Blair (Darlene).Three grandsons; Colby Brown (Jessica), Josh Birch, and Gary P. Blair. Two great grandchildren; Haleigh Brown and Conner Brown.
