Earl Leroy Gandy 1961 2018

Obituary for Earl Gandy Earl Leroy Gandy, 56, of Altoona, FL passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2018. Born in Delray, FL to the late Harry Thomas Gandy and Quincy Inez Byrd, he moved to Eustis, FL with his parents in the early 1970’s. He attended Eustis High School. Earl was a laborer in the agricultural industry and other trades. He was a “simple man” and enjoyed the fruits of his labors. He loved automobile racing, was a member of Scrub Road hunting club, and he enjoyed fishing. Most of all Earl loved his family and friends. He would help anyone in need, making a way for others to achieve things they needed. He was a true man of his word, doing as he said he would, even when he was hurting with many medical issues. Earl won his race. He may be gone but will never be forgotten in our hearts and memories. He is survived by his sisters: Kathy Whitt of Altoona, FL, Wanda Donnelly of Tylertown, MS; brothers: Billy Gandy of Pine Lakes, FL, Robert Gandy of Altoona, FL, and Alton Spears of Altoona, FL. A public graveside service will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at the Hinson Cemetery in Altoona, FL.
