Obituary for Barbara McRae Barb McRae After 7 years battling Multiple Myeloma, Barb McRae was called home to the Lord on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Florida Hospital in Orlando. She is survived by her husband of 45 years Wesley D. McRae, Jr., sister Judie Pyburn and niece Stacey. She worked as a legal secretary in Jacksonville and Sarasota. Living in Sarasota for 32 years, she also managed Centergate Professional Center and started a secretarial and resume service, retiring in 2006. Hoping to move to Central Florida after her husband would retire in 2011, she found out weeks before his retirement that she had cancer. They moved to Sanford where she would be close to her doctors. She was an avid reader, loved to play dominos & board games, vacation in North Carolina and the beaches in Florida, draw and paint. She loved the Lord and attended a Nondenominational Christian Church for many years. She truly loved the Lord. The family will receive friends at Beyers Funeral Home on Friday, June 8, 2018 from 10 AM to 11:30 AM with a Memorial Service to immediately follow at 11:30 AM. Barb will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery at 1:30 PM on the same day. Flowers or a donation to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation are much appreciated.
