Theresa Marie Terri Canzanella 2018

Theresa Marie “Terri” Canzanella, of New Haven passed away peacefully at her home May 12, 2018. She was the wife of the late Joseph James Canzanella. Born in New Haven May 24, 1927, daughter of the late Peter and Addolarata “Dora” Capella Vece, Terri was a fantastic baker, whose Italian cookies and Easter “ham pie” were known far and wide. She is the beloved mother of Doreen Canzanella and husband Tom Corradino and Joseph P. Canzanella (Karen) Proud grandmother of Joseph M. and Paul (Danielle) Canzanella and Gabrielle L. Corradino. Great grandmother of twins, Gabriel and Gianna Canzanella. Sister of Carmelina Apuzzo, Phil (Terri) Vece, and the late Annette Mangino, Christina Benevento, and Mary, Antoinette, Peter, Charles, Samuel, James, and Joseph Vece. Sister-in-law of Jennie and Rose Vece, Sheila Canzanella, and Barbara Canzanella Balzano. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews, and friends. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday from 5-7pm in the Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc. 11 Wooster Place. Relatives and friends are asked to go directly to St. Michael Church Thursday morning at 10 where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Aedan Church 112 Fountain St. New Haven, CT 06515.
