Obituary of Ruth Blanchette Ruth H. Blanchette, 89, of Brooklyn, CT passed away May 8, 2018 at her home in Brooklyn, CT. She was born January 29, 1929 in Brooklyn, CT, daughter of Michael and Vera (Copeland) Harrington. She married Gerard Blanchette on November 23, 1946 in Brooklyn, CT, he died April 1, 2008. She was a communicant of St. James Church in Danielson, CT. She worked as an assembler for 39 years at Arrow-Hart. Ruth enjoyed gardening, traveling throughout the United States with her husband Gerard and she was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and a NASCAR fan. She loved spending time with her nieces and nephews. She leaves her brother Michael Harrington of Brooklyn, CT, her sister Alice Hartman of Whitinsville, MA, her nephews Bradley Harrington and his wife Amyof Brooklyn, CT, and Mark Harrington and his wife Dawn of Brooklyn, CT, her sister-in-law Linda Blanchette of Brooklyn, CT. Also several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Paul Harrington, Royal Harrington and Howard Harrington and her sisters Agnes Staskiutch and Frances Clark. A Calling hour will be Friday, May 11, 2018 from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds Street, Danielson, CT, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. James Church, 12 Franklin Street, Danielson, CT.
