Life Story for Jose Braicovich Jose Braicovich passed away peacefully at Yorkshire Village in Hemet, California on Thursday, April 19th 2018. He was 82 years old. The only son of Yugoslavian immigrants, Jose was born in Rosario, Argentina on October 13, 1935. His parents immigrated from Europe after World War I in search of a better life for themselves. At the tender age of 11, Jose lost his father and was forced to leave school in an effort to help feed himself and his mother. They lived a very humble existence after the main breadwinner in the family was lost. Despite these difficult circumstances, Jose persevered and was able to make significant strides and accomplishments throughout his life. He received technical training and learned the art of working in the structural steel industry where he initially started as a welder. In 1965, at the age of 30, Jose and his wife Olga made the difficult and bold decision to leave their native homeland of Argentina and immigrate to the United States in search of a better life for his family. The family eventually settled in Lynwood, California where Jose worked two jobs in order to provide for his growing family. He was the epitome of a hard and loyal worker who never missed a day of work. His work ethic was beyond reproach. Over the years, the family moved a couple of more times finally settling in Menifee, California in 1998 where he lived in retirement with his loyal wife, Olga. Jose loved his “mate” (Argentinian green tea), his favorite Argentinian soccer teams (Rosario Central and the Argentine National Team), his Argentine Bar-B-Q (Asados) and most recently the game of golf which he enjoyed immensely with his best friend, Miguel Echevarria. He was blessed with six beautiful grandchildren including: Javier Bolic, Cesar Bolic, Sebastian Bolic, Marisa Braicovich, Alexis Braicovich and Nicolas Braicovich. Most recently he was also blessed with two great grandchildren: Francesca Bolic and Zara Bolic. He is survived by his wife Olga of 60 years, his Daughter Monica Bolic (with fiancé Michael) and son Alex Braicovich (with wife Caryann). Memorial Service will be held Friday, May 4th at 11am at Miller Jones Menifee Valley, 26770 Murrieta Road, Sun City, Ca. 92586.
