October 1, 1958 ~ March 24, 2018
Our loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend, Rick Campbell, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 1, 1958, to Belva Ann Hollerman and Glen Campbell. He married Jolene Parkinson in 1976 and together they had one daughter, they were later divorced. He married Marla Dawn Stevens on June 11, 1983 and they had three daughters.
While accomplishing many things during his 59 years, his greatest treasures and proudest moments came from his four daughters and thirteen grandchildren. If they were happy, he was happy. His grandchildren completed him. He loved, adored and cherished their time together. His face would automatically brighten just by hearing any of them say “Hi Grandpa!”
Rick had a big belly laugh that was so contagious no matter what mood you were in it would make you smile. He loved to scare his four girls, either by pounding on the car roof while they were all sleeping to make them think they had blown a tire or slapping the wall and screaming BANG during the scariest part of a movie.
Rick was a member of the LDS church, an Eagle Scout and an avid outdoorsman. He loved fishing, hunting, riding four-wheelers, camping and anything that had to do with guns or shooting especially if it involved his cousin Craig.
Due to medical issues, he was forced to retire but he was not one to just sit around and do nothing. Therefore, he did everything necessary to become a Bail Bond Agent for Pappas Bail Bonds, which he enjoyed immensely.
Rick is survived by his loving wife: Marla; daughters: Kari (Wayne) Law, Kieshla (Aaron) Hobbs, Shaylynn Majors, and Shantel (Chris) Campbell; grandchildren, Randi (Shaunna), Alexee, Athena, Mikayla, Alissa, McKay, Maddax, Aubrey, Kadin, Kylie, Jade, Justin, Colton, and one great-grandchild due later this year; father, Glen Campbell; sisters, Linda (Juan) Jacob, Melony Stevens, Glenda (Dean) Chadwick, Shelly (Kent) Monson, Mindy (Boyd) Porter and brothers, Russell (Michelle) Liddell, and Randy Liddell; as well as numerous nieces and nephews that loved him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Belva Ann Hollerman; step-mother, Jaquie Campbell; his beloved grandmother, Itha Hobbs, and nephew Brian Hansen.
A celebration of Rick’s life will be held Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 11 am at the LDS Chapel located at 1929 West 1500 North, Lehi. He was not a formal person, so no need to dress in your Sunday best, just come as you are if you would like to attend.
Flowers and/or plants are welcome but if you would prefer, donations are being accepted through Alpine Credit Union, under Marla Campbell.
Arrangements entrusted to Myers Ogden Mortuary.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Ricky
