Bennie Sherman Hollifield, age 74 of Orange, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, in Houston, Texas. A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date, for Mr. Hollifield. Bennie was born in Alexandria, Louisiana, on February 18, 1944, to Edna Lucille Tuneburg Hollifield and Everette Hebert Hollifield. He worked as an industrial mechanic. Bennie and his wife were longtime members of Beulah Baptist Church in Chaneyville, Louisiana. He enjoyed collecting model cars. Bennie loved to play with his grandbabies and spend time with his family that he loved so much. He is preceded in death by his parents, Everette and Edna Hollifield and a grandson, Triston Hollifield Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 49 years, Beth Hollifield, two children, Will Hollifield and his wife DeeAnn of Orange, TX and Elizabeth Hollifield of Ft. Collins, CO. Three brothers; Robert Bruce Hollifield and his wife Sharon of NM, David Carroll Hollifield of NM and Gerald Hebert Hollifield and his wife Rhonda of Elmer, LA. Five grandchildren; Travis Hollifield, Trace Hollifield, Tyler Milligan and his wife Meagan, Daniel Poffenroth and Christopher Hollifield. As well as two great grandchildren, Tyleigh Milligan and Braxton Milligan.
