Arvin Duane Stewart 2018

Arvin Duane Stewart the proud father of two beautiful daughters Latosha –Louis and Danielle-Cody and grandfather of eight, Charmayne, Charlene, Sheridan, Alexis, Ikea, Louis Jr. Olivia and Chloe began his life on April Fool’s day 1957 and transitioned to be with the LORD April 3rd, 2018. Our mother and grandmother always said he was born on the right day because he always being silly and making people laugh. Arvin was baptized at the age of 13 at Middle Baptist Church and sang in the choir for… Read More » most of his youth years under the leadership of Dr. Lester Basken. He graduated from Booker T. Washington high school in 1974. After the passing of our mother Shirley Stewart and our youngest brother Darrell Avant Arvin decided to move to Minnesota to make a better life for himself. He worked for Greyhound Transit for several years until their slow decline and was employed at Sears as a shipping handler until his sudden death. He was diagnosed with leukemia in April of 2017 but from day one of his illness he was determined not to let this sickness take his joy. Through his strong faith and belief in God Arvin fought hard, prayed vigorously, and with his daughters and friends calling and being there for every move he made he walked out of that hospital cancer-free in August 2017. Arvin had an unspeakable amount of positive energy that permeated through everyone he met. His personality was like a magnet once you touched him you could not let go. He never met a stranger. He literally lived for his daughters and grandchildren. He really enjoyed playing dominos and watching football with his friends Mr. Leroy who went to every doctor’s appointment with him, Dale, Dwight (Sleepy) and several others. Renee, Reggie, Vickie, Paul, and Antonio would get so excited when we knew he was coming home because we knew it was going to be a great time reminiscing about the good old days with family and friends. Our children, our aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends will hold every, joke, smile and every tear in our hearts forever and ever. WE LOVE YOU ARVIN DUANE STEWART
