Frank M. Hummel, 70, of Harrisburg, PA, passed away on March 25, 2018 surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Frank was born in Harrisburg on May 13, 1947. He graduated Central Dauphin East High School and went on to study at York Academy of Art, in York, PA. There, he later joined the school faculty as a Drawing Instructor because of his exceptional talent.
Frank married and raised his family working as an accomplished free-lance artist in Philadelphia, Lancaster and the Harrisburg area. He loved the Lord, his family, art, music, poetry and the Philadelphia Eagles.
Frank is survived by son, Jonathan, Cherry Hill, NJ; son, Franklin, Palmyra, PA; daughter Jessica, Mechanicsburg, PA; grandchildren, Tristan Hummel, Skyler Spink, Ava and Nathan Doss, Cash Hummel and Everly Sprenkle; one brother John Hummel and two nephews Ian and Dan Chucoski.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Pauline Hummel.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00PM on April 7, 2018 at Neumyer Funeral Home, 1334 N 2nd St., Harrisburg, PA.
